We call this Journey 2 Freedom because we recognize that this process is a journey. A journey to find your inner strength and to help you build on your existing skills so in turn you can overcome any obstacles standing in your way.

We understand some of the barriers to accessing support, and want to make services accessible to everyone. What’s unique about our services is that we are prepared to provide support within the comfort of your own home or community. Please note, a private space is available for use at The Village Health Clinic. In addition to individual supports, we recognize the benefits of being in a room with others who can understand your needs and challenges. Periodically, we will offer a range of groups either virtually or in person focusing on a number of topics to help support mental health. Please refer to our group tab to see what we are offering in your community.

After years of working with both individuals and children and their families, I have gained an understanding of the many challenges that may arise in one’s day to day life. Questions or statements that clients often ask are, ‘How did I get here?’, ‘Nothing is working, what can I do?…’, and ‘Have I failed as a parent?”

My goal is to help individuals and families shift from a mindset of ‘just getting by’ to actively living a more balanced and meaningful life. When we struggle with feelings such as anxiety, sadness, hopelessness, and inadequacy, it can sometimes feel as though we are in survival mode. In counselling sessions I offer you the opportunity to explore, reflect, and discover without being judged. My hope is that you will experience what thriving feels like, and you will have gained the tools you need to strengthen your relationship with yourself and others. Though change is inevitable it is not the easiest thing to embrace. Life can be messy and complicated, and so the question becomes how do we embrace the realities we face? I would welcome your inquiries and questions to discuss our services further and to see if this would be a good fit for you

I am a Registered Psychotherapist with over 18 years of experience working with individual adults, children and youth. I use an integrative, humanistic approach with each individual I work with. I don’t believe in a one size fits all approach and believe that you are the expert of yourself and your needs. You know where you hope to end up, my job is to help you get there in the safest and most supportive way possible. I am aware of how debilitating anxiety, depression and other mental health challenges can be and how much it impacts not only the individual battling, but the people around them trying their best to provide love and support on a daily basis, often alone. Allowing someone into your home and into your life can often be difficult, I am aware of this fact and am truly humbled to be a part of your journey.
